Accepting Christ

Maybe you have wondered, and have asked yourself the question, “What does someone have to do to know that when their life is over on this earth that they are going to have a home in heaven?”

Well, I am glad that you have asked! Through God’s Holy Word, in the Book of Romans, it says in (Romans 3:23)- “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”…..

The first step is facing the reality that you are a sinner and agreeing with God’s Word and Admitting it. But the greatest news ever given is that it does not end there. There is Hope for us in and through the power of the blood of Jesus Christ that was spilled out of His Body for us. Notice in Romans 3:23 that the complete instruction of the Word given to Paul was not completed in verse 23. There is a comma, (verse 24)- “being justified freely by His grace(His undeserved favor or mercy on us) through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” In (Romans 6:23)the Bible tells us, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Yes we deserve death and separation from God for all eternity, but Jesus has paid our sin debt for us if we would only accept it.

Step 2 is to Believe that Jesus is the Son of God(Lord), and place all your trust or faith in Him for the forgiveness of your sins.

And the third step is to Confess by mouth that He is Lord of your life. The Bible says it this way in (Romans 10:9-10)- “If you Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by Believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by Confessing with your mouth that you are saved.”

In (Romans 10:13) the Bible says that, “whosoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Finally we must Profess that He is our Lord and Savior and not be ashamed! In (Mark 8:38)- JESUS said, “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the Holy angels.”

The Invitation!

The Lord Invites us to come to Him! In Matthew 11:28, Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest!” Are you tired? Haven’t you had enough of the way you have managed your life? …….. the difficulty and the struggles that has been the result of you being the CEO or boss of your life? Where has it taken you? And are you truly and wholly complete? or do you feel that something is missing in your life? It is not something that you’re missing it is “Someone”that you are missing! I would love to invite you with the invitation that Jesus has given us and everyone else that has ever been born! Come to Him, ask Him for forgiveness, and invite Him into your heart, so that you can receive the “REST”  that Jesus is offering!
